Eosinophils are a distinct granulocyte population characterized by bilobed nuclei and eosinophilic granules that store major basic protein, eosinophil cationic protein, eosinophil peroxidase, and eosinophil-derived neurotoxin. As key effector cells of type 2 immunity, eosinophils mediate host defense against helminths, regulate adaptive immune responses, and drive the pathogenesis of asthma, eosinophilic esophagitis, atopic dermatitis, and hypereosinophilic syndromes, serving as an essential primary cell system for studying allergic inflammation, eosinophil activation and degranulation, and the development of anti-eosinophil biologics targeting IL-5, IL-5Rα, or CCR3.

MileCell's eosinophils are isolated from fresh peripheral blood via density gradient centrifugation and erythrocyte lysis, with every lot validated for high purity, viability, and immunophenotyping by flow cytometry. Available in fresh format, they can be used in applications spanning degranulation and eosinophil-derived neurotoxin release assays, chemotaxis, oxidative burst measurement, adhesion and transmigration studies, and drug screening for allergic and eosinophilic disorders.
