Oncology
Primary cell components for cancer biology and therapy research.
Cancer research requires models that connect tumor behavior with its surrounding biological environment and treatment response. Normal primary cells provide useful comparators and supporting components for selected experiments. MileCell immune cells, bone marrow mononuclear cells and liver cell products support studies of tumor–host interactions and treatment tolerability alongside independently sourced cancer models.
Research Solutions for Oncology
Tumor–Host Cell Interactions
Investigate how immune populations influence tumor-cell responses in controlled co-cultures. PBMCs, T cells, NK cells and monocytes offer complementary views of immune activation and effector function. Select a cancer model with the molecular features relevant to the study, and include controls that distinguish tumor-associated effects from donor mismatch or nonspecific cell stress.
Liver Tumor Microenvironment Components
Primary liver cells can serve as non-malignant components in exploratory liver cancer co-cultures. Hepatocytes, stellate cells, Kupffer cells and liver sinusoidal endothelial cells offer distinct parenchymal, stromal, immune and vascular contributions. Validate their phenotype and compatibility with the chosen cancer model. These products are not tumor-derived cells or ready-made cancer microenvironment models.
Normal-Cell Comparisons and Hematology
Use healthy-donor BMMCs as a normal reference for selected hematopoietic experiments and primary hepatocytes to examine liver effects of oncology candidates. Compare relevant endpoints under matched conditions while accounting for differences in cell composition and growth. Disease-derived cells must be obtained separately when malignant hematopoiesis or patient-specific drug response is the research focus.

FAQs
Are healthy-donor BMMCs a leukemia model?
No. They can provide a normal hematopoietic reference. Leukemia studies require a suitable malignant model and disease-specific characterization.
Can these normal cells establish tumor selectivity?
They provide selected normal-cell comparisons. A broader selectivity assessment requires appropriate tumor models, additional normal tissues and relevant exposure conditions.
